Day 146 of my Bucket List Photo Challenge!
What do you think? Do these look like weeds or rose bushes? Well, I hope they look like rose bushes, because that’s what they are!
I spent the entire day digging up rose bushes in the backyard of a lifelong family friend, the woman that babysat me from 3 months old until 3rd grade. She was involved in the Toledo Rose Society for years and years— her backyard is just filled with roses! But now, she’s moving. So she insisted I transplant some bushes to my house.
Traditionally, all the greenery will die after being moved. However, we decided to go ahead and move them “full” without pruning them back, on the off-chance that some green survives. If it doesn’t, it will come back like new next year!
We’ll call this picture WEEDS and scratch it off the list!
