Mt. Rushmore!!! Day FOUR of our Cross-Country Road Trip!

I’ll admit! I thought Mt. Rushmore was going to be a bust. No… not a “bust” like one that you would have found in the White House up until a few years ago.

But a “bust” as in “disappointment”. It just seemed too good to be true… giant faces of some of the greatest Presidents, carved into a mountain in the middle of the Black Hills of South Dakota? And 60-foot faces, nonetheless?

Well, I was wrong. It was all extremely impressive.

OK… that last one. I was hungry. Sorry, Abe.

One really can’t pass up the opportunity for photos that bring a smile, right?
