What a busy weekend! My apologies in advance… because blog posts are going to be kind of sporadic this month. If you haven’t noticed our schedule for March, go take a look! And you’ll forgive me for not being more… talkative.

Pete drove us to Indianapolis this past weekend. We left bright and early Friday morning, drove through a few thunderstorms and arrived in time to read to some students at Butler University Lab School in Downtown Indianapolis.

The kids were great– and the educational philosophy was awesome!

The reading was set up by Mandy and Carly, twin sisters that have children enrolled in the school. Not only do they have kids enrolled in school there, they are also owners of Indianapolis’s premier gourmet popcorn shop, Just Pop In! So of course they loved the message in Pete the Popcorn, but they loved that it stars a popcorn kernel!

After the reading, we were able to spend a couple days with our friends Scott and Terri. We tried some great Indy food and got to see some Indy sights– including Just Pop In! at their Broad Ripple location.

And then Sunday, we held a signing event at the Just Pop In! location at the Indianapolis International Airport. The passengers we great, we got to try some delicious popcorn… and we sold a few books, too!

Here are some photos from the weekend.

Talk to you soon!
